does lacto calamine lotion tan skin?

i am using lacto calamine since 1.5 weeks.......... i was luking for product reviews on lacto calamine .....all were good except some which said that it tans skin. is it true?? is it safe to use lacto calamine? coz i am quite fair n i dont want a dull complexion ........ however the lotion is kind of suiting my skin as it is pimple prone

Hello, I've used this before for insect bites and it didn't make me tan at all. I don't think products will make your skin darker unless it is specifically indicated on the package. Some acne medicine can make your skin darker (acne scars), but I know that lacto calamine lotion should be safe to use. If ever you see any skin discoloration then just use a skin whitener or spot corrector on the affected areas.

No but the actual lotion maybe darker than your actual skin complexion and hence you think it tans your skin. You will need to wash your skin properly afterwards. I have been using it for years now and seen no possible bad effects. (except the smell maybe, not too fond of it)
