    Using a cotton ball dipped in milk on the skin can take a long time to lighten spots(6 months +) if you see any results at all. I would recommend doing a lactic acid peel instead. Gentle, effective, results appear in 1-2 treatments. Amazon has some good ones for fairly inexpensive.
