Default Redness and dryness on the side of face I sleep on

Every now and then, I will take up and notice dry skin and redness/inflammation on the side of my face that I sleep on/the side of my face that rests on the pillow. Could it be connected to the pillow itself or poor circulation of my skin? It usually clears eventually and isn't particularly itchy.

Help! I am totally baffled as to what this could be and it can be frustrating.

Hi Jane! Welcome to forum. Are they painful.Do you get such swelling on both sides if you sleep on the other side? It is usually normal for slight redness and swelling to appear on the dependent part of face you sleep and is transient, which is due to stasis of blood over the dependent part. But if the swelling is really heavy, painful and prolonged I think this is not something normal should consult the nearby doctor for systemic examination.

It's only really on the side I sleep on. It tends to last all day.

I think you should use pure chimp super face cream to have no mentioned problems.
I have used it and like it.
