Rash like thing on my thighs

Hi,
I have a non-itcy, non-painful like rash on both of my thighs. I have taken a picture of the more severe one. While they are in the same area, they are not in the exact location so it can't be a bruise. Any ideas what this may be?

Welcome to the forum Julie, picture is not so clear, could you please post a clearer picture. Few questions...

Have you had any infection recently?
Since when have you had this?
Are/were you on any medication recently?
Do you have other associated symptoms? Fever, joint pain, abdominal pain, burning urination,dark urine/blood in urine or any other you could describe?
Are the lesion palpable or just the rash?


For me it looks like some kind of vasculitis (affecting small blood vessel) . Eruption of purpura with the sharp demarcation may be caused by Koebner's phenomenon that results from minor trauma either by scratching, shaving or any other stimuli that have caused the rupture of inflamed blood vessel. Can you please upload a clear pic so we can suggest you better.

That looks like you have scratched there or something. I remember that my son used to get this thing when he was climbing trees.

For how long do you have it there?
