Default Itchy rash, only in one place

    Hi,
I wonder if anyone could shed some light on this itchy rash?

I only have it in one place, my left leg just above the ankle,
as hopefully you can see in the attached picture.
ps I've never had any rashes before.

It's been there for a month but seems to be slowly spreading as little red bumps.

I probably am not helping matters by trying a few creams in the last week. Lanacane, Savlon, even Olive oil

I am now trying an antifungal cream with clotrimazole.

Any ideas would be more than welcomed.

    Many Thanks
    Liam

    It's ok, thanks,

I have decided to give it 5 days with the cream
and then go and see the GP.

    Cheers

Hi Liam! As the rash do not seem to have typical morphology and shape, probably due to manipulation trying different medication. I wanna ask you few questions, do you have any lesions on other parts of body like webs of toes, hands etc ?how are your nails? Was your lesion relatively spared at the centre initially? Did you have such lesions earlier on the similar parts? Did you come in contact with anything new in that part recently? Have you been to new places lately?

    Hi Saiyan,
No to all of the questions, and my nails are fine.
When I first noticed the rash , it was like this, without the dots at the borders.
All I can think is that my halogen heater was that side, and the car's hair heater blows at that spot too.
I have had something like this 4 years ago, where the rash was 8inches by 4 unches on te other leg, but it cleared up in a few days....maybe something to do with the bedding?
I am sleeping a lot 12 hours plus, so it could be due to stress, or something else.

I will report back in a week, hopefully a lot better
    Cheers
    Liam

I had what a doctor called eczema over the top half of my back. He said it was due to my age a bit over 40 years old and hot showers. But I thought it was stress. Yep sure enough when the boss that was stressing me out left to go work somewhere else, it cleared up.

So unfortunately even doctors can be wrong. Can't wait to see what you say in a week.

    Thanks Laura (((hugs)))
I am on the mend, it is loads better
I put it down to washing all the bedclothes etc,
using the anti-itch to stop irritating it by scratching
using the anti-fungal, just in case
keeping a sock all the way up , to prevent abrasion , and to keep the cream diffused in the sock (a cunning plan )
..oh, and keeping that side away from direct heat
    eg fires, car heater etc

    Thanks Everyone,

Merry Xmas, .....and remember , it'll soon be summer
    Cheers
    Liam
