use sunscreen or sunblock, wear a big hat, wear long sleeves, there are actually clothes that have uva protection in them but i probably can't afford them. go outside when before 10am and after 4pm. between 10 and 4 the suns rays are at the maximum, sunscreen or sunblock is best. reapply every 2 hrs. even shade trees can't protect you from the sun but remember the sun is important in our lives because it gives us vitamin d. getting vitamin d naturally is better than a pill.
