Oh i just realized, i have never said "i love you" to my parents as far as i can remember. I think its like "they know i love them why should i" ... good question deepak.. now if i say them i love them they may get confused hahaha...but we all must all let them know how much we love and care for them most importantly when they gets old. I think they expect it from their kids...

I don't say it either, even though I should. I think I express it by giving my mum a nice hug every now and again and I hope she sees that I love her when I do this.
As for my Dad I don't see him much, he works away.
And my brother, well, I guess it's kinda' awkward, he's a full grown man now and I think it's been that long since we showed each other affection that it might be a bit embarrassing for us both, haha.
But it is an interesting question.

coming from a grandma, i love to hear "i love you" from anyone!!!!you youngsters don't realize it is good just to hear it from you. i try to tell my daughters, grandchildren and even some of my patients that i love them. i tell them because i do love them. i have aging couples who are still holding hands at 85!! they depend on each other. they love each other. lucy next time you are on the phone with your mom let her know you love her. she might not know what possesed you to tell her that but i am sure she will be tickled! hariharin. tell your parents you love them. it is a good habit to get into and yes your parents hope you love them but hearing it is special.
