Combine 1/2 cup hot—not boiling—water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 small egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Aloe Vera with lemon works wonders for me. (Both fresh) The lemon is an AHA that helps dissolve any dead skin cells and the aloe vera moisturizes and counteracts the high pH (acidity) of the lemon so its not too irritating. I do this twice a week if possible and its left my skin super clear. Hope this helps.

PS: The lemon might cause purging or irritation if you have sensitive skin.

    Try the following tips

    Termeric mask
One of the most popular ingredients used in home made masks is turmeric. The medicinal properties of this spice helps in reducing blemishes and maintaining a flawless skin.

    1. To prepare the mask, take 3 table spoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix it well.
    2. Apply on the face on the neck for 20 minutes and then wash it off with water.

    Rose water and sandalwood mask

Sandalwood had been an age old Indian remedy for cooling skin and bringing a glow to it. Rose water has refreshing quality.
    1. Take 2 tbsp of pure sandalwood powder and make a paste by adding rose water to it.
    2. Adjust consistency. Apply on face for instant cooling and to revive dull skin.

    Hope this helps!
