    Default Moisturiser Advice

    Hi there,

I need to find a new moisturiser. The tricky thing is that I'm allergic to EDTA, which I assume means I'm also allergic to Disodium EDTA & Tetrasodium EDTA which are found in most skincare products. I've been using an emollient based moisturiser but am prone to breakouts so want something that's still moisturising but not as heavy.

I have found a really good one called Avene Tolerance Extreme which has no preservatives but contains mineral oil, it also says it's non-comdogenic? Then there is Trilogy's very gentle moisturising cream which is more natural based, but is oily. Are all oils bad?

Avene: avene thermal water, glycerin, mineral oil, squalene, safflower oil, cyclomethicone, glyceryl stearate, sodium carbomer, titanium dioxide.

Trilogy: Aqua (Purified Spring Water), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Althea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Extract, Ormenis Multicaulis (Chamomile Flower) Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract (and) Gl, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extrac, Camilla Oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin

    Thanks,

    Jess x

Look for a natural product that contains no mineral oil. Mineral oil is not that great for your skin. Be sure to read the ingredients as a lot of products that say 'natural' are not 100% natural. I cannot recommend any particular brand for you but I am sure you can find some locally that will work. Most products do contain EDTA so be very careful when you are buying them. You can make your own but a lot of people would rather not.

The most effective moisturizing is Vaseline, which provides a coating over the skin through which water cannot escape. Olive oil is also best for moisturizing the skin.

Default Vitiman E Oil for moisture!

Hi there! I have found that Vitiman E Oil is an excellent face/body moisturizer! Not only is it a moisturizer but it also is great for replinishing the elasicity in your facial skin and tighten up those under eye wrinkles! A little goes a long way so a bottle will last a very long time!

P.S. It is also great to minimize pesky stretch marks!

Vit E oil is great for your skin.
Vaseline is not however. It should not be used. Read the label.
