    Unhappy Strange skin issue! Please Help?

    i have had these five unusual spots on my right thigh for 8-9 years now .. im kinda worried over these spots after reading about a lot of skin issues online .. im not sure if this a lesion or wart oor ingrown hair or kaposi .. im not even sure wht do i call these spots. these spots dont itch or pain .. 3 of these spots are slightly raised and the remaining two are in line with my skin .. with hardly no hairs growing over these except for few hairs .. i have a hairy body .. it has remained as such since it appeared .. please not i have never had sexx or indulged in anything risky .. this is one thing that drives me crazy over the fact this couldnt be anythn related to aids or an std provided i never had sex .. leavin me to worry over the other options includin warts or an ingrown hair ..
    these spots appeared when i was 14 and now im 23.
    i dont knw if this is important but still for the record i used to shave off the tiny hairs around in my thigh and leg areas when i noticed hairs have been growing all over my body. i felt irritated at hairs growing all over body and whenever i got a chance i used to shave the budding hairs that grew on my arms and legs.
    does anything malignant/ dangerous remain in your skin for years without any change?

    what do you guys think this could be?

    you have asked a question i don't think anyone will be able to answer correctly. we can't see what is on your thigh. if you are worried go see a doctor. if there hasn't been a change in the area for almost 8 years it is probably and i say this with emphasis probably something similar to scars from ingrown hairs. it doesn't sound dangerous to me but again if you are worried have a doctor look at the area. just for your peace of mind.

    Yes there i understand.
    Please go through the pics and see if anyone can make it out .

    (I have indicated the position of the pics by blue and black color circles.
    Blue indicates the spots which are slightly raised and black indicates the ones which are in line with my skin)

    yup like brenda said looks like a follulitis , doesn't look like any malignant changes or something dangerous. but to make sure please consult your dermatologist and get confirmed..

    i know quite a few people women and men who have this problem. the coarser your hairs are the easier it is to get ingrown hairs. you can get them from your clothes rubbing against your skin. I hope we eased your mind but if you really are upset about this please see a doctor.

    @brenda and @deepak

    Thanks a lot for your inputs.

    I just hope its not anything dangerous.

    I am planning to get it checked sometime next month.
