Default Itchy skin after using benzoyl peroxide

I just bought Neutrogena On-the-Spot for my acne. Since i started using it for last 1-2 days, my skin is a bit itchy. Is it due to benzoyl peroxide ? Is it normal ?

Yup you may have some irritation for few days, Thats normal. 2.5% is well tolerated by most of the people. But if it irritation increases stop using it.

benzoyl peroxide does have a drying affect but it is a good acne product. there are those out there that have a real allergic reaction to it. use low dose like deepak said. then work your way up.

    If it's really itchy, try taking a non-drowsy anti-histamine.
