Default Losing weight - what foods should I avoid?

I'm looking to lose about 10 pounds this year. I am making a list of foods to cut out of my diet (that I normally eat in big quantities).....

    Here is my short list...

    *bagels
    *beer
    *Pitas

Anyone have thoughts on what else to add?

I'm really looking to get rid of cellulite more than anything.

Get rid of all your alcohol. Bagels and Pitas actually can help. You should get rid of all fried foods (well, it's okay if you eat something like fried chicken maybe once a month). Low carb and low-cal diets actually don't really help you lose weight. Personally, you should eat as much veggies as you can, and have a disciplined exercise option. Grains are good when you get to the point where you're exercising a lot.

To lose weight, you must include less or even no rice in your diet. Remember, one cup of rice is equivalent to 10 teaspoonful of sugar. So, if you don't burn those sugar daily upon intake, it will surely add up to your weight. I hope this helps.

I think a big change that i made in my diet that helped me was not so much what i ate but how much and more important how often. I changed my eating habits to every 2-3 hours and small amounts and the weight just took care of itself. It keeps your metabolism constantly running instead of you going into "store for raining day" mode

Organically grown meat can be very healthy. Fish is extremely heathy.
Nuts are one of the true superfoods.
Dark chocolate is actually healthier than blueberries.

Avoid anything that is processed. That includes all those donuts, pies, sliced cheese and deli meat, fast food restaurants, a lot of restuarant foods are processed even in places you wouldn't think of so watch out when you go out to eat. I stick with green salads when I go out for an evening. You can ask for an entree size and ask for a grilled chicken breast on top. This makes a really tasty meal.

Raw fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, whole grains are great. Personally, I only eat raw vegetables as I really don't like them cooked other than potatoes which are very healthy for you, just don't put on all those toppings .

Beans are also a great source of protein if you don't like to eat meat. Protein is very important in your diet for good health and weight loss.

yes i agree with Sandy, you should avoid oily foods or any other food which produce more fats then required to your body that you may consume in a day.
