    Smile Newbie to the boards

    Hi, everyone
I just found this site and I'm very interested in learning about skin care. I'm a 28 year old female from The Bahamas. I know some basics like cleanser toner adn moisturizer and ingredients like benzoyl peroxide and salicyic acid and skin steaming are good for acne and that about it.

I recently got a deep pore cleansing facial professionally done and boo booed my face as i oil my scalp almost daily ( I'm in braids ) and i guess some of it got on the pillow case and then my face. i popped the pimple and now the spot is black and the rest of my face is very bright and even toned.

Any pointers on what i could use to get rid of the spot ? Or do i need to go back and get a dark spot treatment professionally done. it doesn't seem like normal drugstore products work kike they use to since the stronger chemicals from the facial have been used.

Any suggestions would be a big help.

Hello Mspeculiar and welcome to the forums. It really sounds like you know your stuff about skin care which is great. As for getting rid of spots, I like to use teatree... I don't think its for everyone mind but it works for me

hey Mspeculiar welcome to dermatalk skin care community. you can try some black spots fading creams that contains Hydroquinone. This helps fade your black spots. if not succeed then you can also use mild steroids like mometasone furoate (ELOCON), this helps fade your black spots cause by acne.
