I haven't been here in a while. Sorry I didn't have the time to acknowledge all the input.
Even though I didn't refer to this issue on my question, I'm happy it was brought up. I did hear about...
I've never tried the pure perfume (vintage) on myself. But I've smelled it on others. It was very balanced, low-key but long-lasting.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was considered to be...
Apparently the baking soda method, most methods for that matter, are unsuitable for people with sensitive teeth.:(
Of course this isn't instead of seeing a doctor, but I find gargling with tea tree oil very helpful. The antiseptic effect can practically stop an infection if you use it soon enough. I also use it...
I believe pumpkin seeds can help with that. If you don't like them you can also get the active ingredients in tablet form.
Thank you Deepak! If anything, I'd have to say I know quite a bit about DIY skincare. I've learned a lot since joining here, and I practice it and keep learning. :)
It's to read from others too that excess is bad. But total avoidance of the sun is also a form of excess. It's hardly surprising that many people get depressed in winter.
As you say vencasand,...
Sorry, are these things specifically for skincare or does the skin benefit if they're used internally?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but garlic in skincare sounds scary.
I wonder if any of these things go away by themselves?
That's familiar all right!
There's a herbal remedy that's really helpful. It's called Thuya, sometimes spelled Thuja. It's applied directly to the affected area once or twice a day.
Have you seen a doctor about this? The tea tree oil is antiseptic and antifungal. You should be safe there. But it sounds like your feet need more dedicated care.
What would be the requirements? I realize I don't have lots of posts yet, but asking doesn't hurt.:D
Are you at all into the idea of DIY products? It's very easy to make a vitamin C serum yourself. It brightens the skin and also repairs damage as it's an antioxidant.
I meant to say you don't get fresh papaya here. :p
I don't have a problem with spots. But when one does appear I apply a small amount of tea tree oil. It's antiseptic and has many other uses.
You're so right! Why mess with perfection?! I think it happened in the last 2 years, whenever they introduced the new bottle design.
But properly stored perfume, especially when it's sealed, can...
Hi and welcome!
I just realized I never introduced myself when I registered. Sorry!
Maybe my opinion is more instinctive than anything else. I'm aware that plants are also living things. I would never wilfully damage or destroy them. And I'm definitely appalled at food being wasted....
I'll probably get into trouble here for this, but I don't believe in avoiding the sun completely. There is no life without sunshine. Of course excess is dangerous. But some studies even show that...
Apparently many of these creams have an only cosmetic effect. What you really need are the right active ingredients.
There are such brands as Skinceuticals and some others. Their prices are out of...
Sounds like you mean the pure perfume? That's wonderful. If you're looking to replace it, I'd recommend getting one that's a few years old. They've recently changed the formula. Many online shops...
There are lots of nice smells. A nice low-key one is Armani White. I'm not sure if it's still available though. There's also Armani Code/Black Code. They smell like they're easy to wear, not...
I'm delighted to see the love for Opium! It's my holy grail of perfumes, though it's too special to use daily.
In skincare I prefer unscented or very low-key smelling because I mostly use perfume....
I've heard of vitamin E oil being helpful. I only tried it for short time on my lashes. But the oil getting in my eyes was annoying, so I gave up. But you wouldn't have that problem with eyebrows.
