Default Skin Allergy to certain Deodorants

I've searched for a while for a deodorant that is effective, but also gentle on the skin. Most of the common ones can cause bumps sometimes, and the all-natural ones don't seem to be effective. Does anyone have recommendations?

Natural deodorants are as good as the store brands ones if made properly. They are very easy to make as well. Shea butter, corn starch, baking soda and a few essential oils. This will work as well or better and is free of all those chemicals that store brands are saturated with.

Any specific brand recommendations? I have tried Tom's, and it didn't really work well. I have tried Dove, so I will have to look for their sensitive skin version. That was probably the brand that worked best, since it supposedly has more moisturizer than other brands.

I cannot recommend any brands as I make my own. Look on the ingredients lists on products that say 'natural or organic'. There are a few out there that are good. Many doctors are now recommending these natural products as chemicals in deodorant are very unhealthy.

I can only use Sure. I use the stick/block, rather than aerosol. I have had a reaction to some in the past but never Sure. It could be worth a go as they sell a huge range.

I was having the problem of excessive sweating. But now, I am using an incredible product called Maxim antiperspirant. Maxim is unscented and has a gel-like consistency, it does not wash off in water. Maxim is always applied during the night time. Its really working for me to stop sweat.

Have you considered doing a skin allergy test? That way you can narrow down the ingredients that can cause your skin irritations

That's a good thought. Or try comparing all of ingredients in deodorants you have reacted to versus ones you haven't reacted to. See if you can find an ingredient that is common in all of the deodorants you've had a problem with - that could help you narrow down new prospective deodorants based on ingredients.
