i don't wait till battery dead i charge when there is 1-2 indicator is left..
When do you charge batteries for your digital camera and phone? Do you wait for the battery to be completely dead, do you wait for the "low batt" signal to come on, or do you start charging when you see that there's only a single battery indicator left? What is the correct way to charge the battery? Does anyone know?

Is that better though? I want to keep my battery as "healthy" as possible. I know that overcharging it will make it weaker over time, but when it comes to charging I am pretty clueless.. Thanks for the response though Admin.
I was told that you should let them run right down to the minimum or finished before charging them because charging them too soon isn't good for the battery. Nor does it charge as strongly. Could be wrong though.
Kay is right, when using my digital camera or camcorder I am also waiting that the batteries are empty, even if it is Lithium-ion batteries.
As far as Ni-MH and Ni-Cd (effect memory), they don't have a long life.
No i dont actually do that with intention. But some times it actually happens...i do it when the bar is less than 25%
i usually charge with battery is low below 50%....
I have nothing with battery Excepts dictionary .
My man reckons you should let them drain completly from time to time and keeping them topped up will most definatlley reduce their life span
It is better to let the battery drain completely before recharging it. By doing so, the battery life can last longer.
