What is this next to my earlobe??? It's driving me crazy for years!!!

I have this thing next to me earlobe that looks terrible. I've had it for years now and the doctor(medi-cal) keeps telling me to not touch it and use the cream(Clotrimazole and retamethasone or Triamcinolone Acetonide) I also tried 2.5% hydrocortisone. None of that is effective. The thing stays red and oozes hard pus and gets really itchy. I keep it clean with washing regularly but nothing seems to work and I cant get an appointment for a dermatologist through healthcare. They say it's not cancerous and does'nt fall into dermatologist category. This is very very unattractive and it's driving me crazy. I would sincerely appreciate any insight or possible diagnosis. I cant seem to upload a pic but will ASAP. Thank you
