I have heard of using hormones to make beards grow in thicker but I don't know if it works. I also heard there are chinese herbs you can take but would consult a TCM practitioner and ask them first.

Make your own hair mask! Mix olive oil and a mashed banana and apply it on your hair. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before a wash. Apply this hair mask once a week for about two months and then stop. You can start this routine again after two months.

Unfortunately how thick your beard grows in is just part of the
genetics lottery. At this time it is the general consensus of medical
professionals that there is nothing that can be done to increase beard
    density.

On the positive side it is very possible that you are just a late
bloomer. Talk to your father/grandfather about when their beards
fully developed. It can take up to a person's late 20's for them to
be able to grow a good thick beard (while others seem to be able to
grow one overnight at 16, doesn't seem fair does it?).

If you feel like there is something wrong with how thick your beard it
might be a good idea to talk to your doctor about it. A hormonal
imbalance can cause poor facial hair growth and that likely can be
    treated.

Lastly, I did find one interesting thing worth noting. Some believe
that high stress lives can cause hair loss. If you'd fall into this
category try reducing your stress level (if possible) and see if that
    helps

A small degree of hair loss is always present. Usually random hairs shed or break off so that with every brush of the hair, some hairs are at the end of their natural cycle. There is a natural cycle of hair growth (telogen phase) in which growth takes as long as 5-6 years. This is followed by a resting, nonmetabolic phase (anagen) that lasts for 6 weeks to 6 months. A third phase is the catagen phase or time of hair separation and loss.

These phases are important because many substances, medications or diseases may cause change in phase duration and thus accelerate hair loss or cause much of the hair to be in synchronous growth and then slough. For example, estorgens during pregnancy prolong the telogen growth phase and when pregnancy is over, a large number of hairs go into the anagen resting phase. As expected, 6 weeks to 6 months later large amounts of hair break or slough. It gives the impression that one's hair is all falling out. Actually hairs gradually go back to their random pattern of growth and rest and the "hair loss" problem subsides.

    Goals

Once a hair loss pattern has been determined to be diffuse and nonscarring, a hormonal or medication cause should be suspected. Knowing the different phases of hair growth helps determine when the substance might have had an effect and therefore what substance is suspect.

If you want to have hair growth on any part of your body, you can check these simple tips:
    1. Massage extra virgin coconut oil on your remaining hair (make sure that it penetrates your skin) just massage, never use comb..
    2. wrap it with hot towel then cover
    3. rinse off with lukewarm water
    4. PAT dry, never rub with towel...
With this, im sure you'll regain strength for remaining hair and make it grow faster
