    Default Anyone Familiar With Smoker's Melanosis

    Hey Anyone Familiar With Smoker's Melanosis,can it be treated.I need to know please.

    well its caused by smoking.Smoking cause changes in epithelium cells of your oral mucosa.Actually nicotine stimulates the melanocytes of oral mucosa to produce more melanosomes as a result deposition of melanin pigment increases.

    The only treatment might be sessation of smoking.But it might take months to years to completely decrease the melanosis.So one's Patience is required.
