Quote Replywell its caused by smoking.Smoking cause changes in epithelium cells of your oral mucosa.Actually nicotine stimulates the melanocytes of oral mucosa to produce more melanosomes as a result deposition of melanin pigment increases.
The only treatment might be sessation of smoking.But it might take months to years to completely decrease the melanosis.So one's Patience is required.
