Default Is Coffee bad for your skin?

Is drinking too much coffee bad for your skin? I know that caffeine has some benefits, but i also knows it dehydrates us, so if we drink a lot of coffee, is this bad for our skin?

good question. coffee also has water in it so as it can dehydrate it can also hydrate from the water. too much of anything is bad. caffeine can make you jittery, make your blood pressure go up and can stain your teeth. i have to have my morning coffee though. not for the caffeine but just because i love coffee in the morning.

I've always thought too much coffee is bad for skin, no way of proving this though. Best to look at the skin of heavy coffee drinkers and make your own conclusion

Thanks for the reply's nice to read everyone's comments. As far as looking at coffee drinkers skin, it's been really mixed, some have good skin some not so, so that didn't offer me much advice. Good idea though!

i know a lot of coffee drinkers. the only ones i see that have aging unusually are the coffee drinkers that smoke. i have friends that seem to have caffeine overload but their skin isn't affected. but you do know if you get high blood pressure, and stomach issues because of coffee you are not going to look good.

Drinking too much coffee can cause dehydration of the skin. It can interfere with a good night's sleep, which is necessary for beautiful, healthy, glowing skin.

There are pros and cons when you drink coffee:

    Pros:
coffee contains antioxidant that can help fight skin cancer.

    Cons:
drinking coffee can interfere with a good night's sleep, which is essential to good skin.

Coffee, in moderation, is fine. A couple of cups a day. I dont drink much coffee because for me it makes me tired.

Caffeine on the other hand is great for you skin as a topical treatment. Use it once or twice a day with your moisturizers.
