Default wash hair daily or weekly?

I used to wash my hair every other day, but my hairdresser used to tell me that its so dry and that i should wash it less.

Since then, i have "trained" my hair so that i only wash it twice a week and i noticed such a great difference in the quality of my hair. Its stronger and healthier than ever before! It was hard at first because i hated that oily look. But in a matter of a month, my hair just got used to it i guess!

Whats the norm for you ladies?

I went through the same about 10 years ago. It was hard as you say going through that 'oily look' but I got used to clipping it back so it didn't look to bad. Now I wash it every 5-7 days depending on what I've been doing or where I am going.

I wash (Shampoo and Condition) my hair every three-four days. Sometimes more often if Im going out out.
On the third day I would spray a bit of 'dry shampoo' in and brush through. I have saved so much time by doing this - plenty of dry shampoo's available but experience has led me to beleive the cheaper ones work better for me and you can buy them dependent on your hail colour.
Vencasand - As you have scalp psoriasis you should look at Aalgo treatments (it includes scalp treatment) Hope you get it cleared up soon. I have used this on my family not for the scalp (for Eczema) but if it works as good as it has for us - on your scalp -its well worth it. Their website gives proper directions on how to use it. Good luck.

I wash my hair daily. I really could not go without washing my hair or showering everyday. I have very healthy hair and scalp. Hair also smells when it isn't washed. I often smell dirty hair when I am shopping.

I make my own shampoo so there are no additives, SLS or anything of that nature.

I wash mine everyday, but I know I shouldn't, I have bleach blonde highlights in my hair and have them done on occasion, thus making my hair incredibly dry. It usually isn't so bad when I use leave in conditioner.
Unless you're in the hair industry or a model, I think you should wash your hair every other day. (unless you have scalp problems!) I am a big fan of dry shampoo, it makes those 'in-between' days alot more bearable.
Hope you're a bit more clued up now.

i also wash my hair daily because i work in a lab around drug powders. i have to make sure they are all washed from my hair. it is not difficult for me to do my hair. it is very long and when i shower i wash it first. then finish my shower. i let it dry naturally. people at work are used to seeing me come in with wet hair! we work in a casual pharmacy. i wear scrubs and make sure my hair is pulled back but i seldom get to work before my hair dries!
