I agree. Rain is supposed to be the purest form of water but 'coz of pollutants, it's not advisable to bathe in the rain anymore. Sometimes, the rain can be too acidic that it will do you more harm than good.
I was recently reading an article on rains and their effects on our skin. The article has stated that rain water is the purest form of water until it mixes with our environmental pollutants. Therefore, if you live in a highly polluted area, it can make your skin listless and dry.
On the other hand, if you live in a place that is away from mills,mines or factories..it can prove therapeutic to you for acne, black and white heads as well as general itching on the body.
So, be careful while in rain if you are in some polluted area, otherwise you can enjoy it fully!

I remember when I was growing up we would catch rain water in a barrel in the summer and use it to rinse our hair in when we washed it. I can tell you my hair was as soft as it could be and had the greatest fresh smell to it. I did live in a very rural area at the time so not a lot of pollution or chemicals was in it.
I just took a bath under the rain last two weeks ago...hehehe. I hope it did not add to the dryness of my skin. Thank you for sharing. I am aware now.
That really does make a lot of sense. I've always been told that here where I live you should make sure to use an umbrella whenever it rains.
even if you lived far away from urbanization, you still have to be careful of rain water since it could be acid rain thats falling on your skin! when the rain drops and the acid form acid clouds, the wind could carry it somewhere far away from cities and into rural areas.
Too bad it's awfully polluted in my area. Every time it rains, the windshield of my car becomes really dirty. I see smudges of rain and dirt left over when the water dries. It's really gross. Plus I think our rivers and seas are dirty to begin with, so the water that evaporates and eventually becomes rain is already dirty to begin with.
Don't empty the water jar until the rain falls...heheheh!!!
Rain is grace; rain is the sky condescending to the earth;
without rain, there would be no life.
I wonder if you could take rain water and boil it to get rid of the impurities then use it?
I don't think boiling would take out any of the good qualities of it. It's a shame that we have to be so careful even about the rain that falls to the earth.
