Ridges on my nails,please help

I have some ridges on my nails and they look very ugly.There are also some white lined bands across the nail. I've been taking calcium and B-complex but it never worked. Please help me.

nails tell alot about a person. i think you might want to go to see a doctor for a checkup.
ridges could be telling you that you that your thyroid may be a little off or your cholestrol isn't at the numbers it should be. i don't really know what the white lines suggest but i would get a medical checkup. i don't know how old you are or even where you are from. i don't mean to scare you, i just think a check up is in order.

Its fine taking calcium and B-comblex but they are usually not due to lack of calcium but most white lined bands are due to deficiency of protein. Protein deficiency cause slow growth and ridging of nails and white lined bands. Eat food that are rich in protein like dairy products,nuts,eggs and lean meat. You can take protein suppliments tablets. Hope this helps. But yea anyway visiting to a doctor to rule out any systemic envolvoment is a better option.
