    Hi there,
Psoriasis is a wrinkle/fold on your skin. usually for girls and usually around the lumbar/butt area.
It's best to consult with professional about it.

    Good luck

have you tried different types of dandruff shampoo? one is made with zinc, one with salicylic acid, one with coal tar, one with selenium sulfates, and one with an antifungal medication ketoconazole. you could have seborrhea dermititis, or eczema, or psoriais or maybe it is just dry skin. regular head and shoulders with zinc helps seborrhea dermititis, eczema,or just dry skin. shampoo with salicylic acid helps remove built up scales from dry skin. coal tar shampoo is okay for psoriasis but it burned me after a while. i found the selenium sulfate shampoos to be the best for my psoriasis. with all the shampoos you have to massage it into your scalp and let it there for a moment or two. rinse very well. i wish you luck. i have tried all of the above shampoos and my psoriasis is still there.

yup as Brenda said most probably could be seborrheic dermatitis and secondly might also be scalp psoriasis. Its just difficult to diagnose without seeing it. But anyway, usually scalp psoriasis is always associated with Psoriatic lesion extending outside the hairline and associated lesions on other body parts and nail area and scales usually bleeds when you try to remove it. But in seborrheic dermatitis the scaly lesion are usually on the hairline area and might not be associated outside the hairline areas.

So are those scales only on the scalp or hairline areas or are there any lesion or scales in your body too like say knees elbows and so so..

I agree with Brenda and Deepak but I would recommend you see a derm to be on the safe side. There are many skin problems and everyone is different with respect to medications it is best to see a specialist.

Scalp psoriasis normally affects the back of your head, but it can occur in other parts of your scalp, or on the whole scalp. This causes red patches of skin covered in thick silvery or maybe white scales. Scalp psoriasis can be extremely itchy, and others have no discomfort. Get the doctor to refer you to a dermatologist who can tell you either way
