We had pathology as a subject in second year Medicine which used to enlist all the possible causes and risk factors of each and every disease or pathology.

Nonetheless, smoking was the one common entity present in almost every damn pathology. Lung cancer is just one of them.

Smoking can cost you your limbs, amputations you see, they're more common amongst smokers. I realised this in our surgery postings.

There are substitutes for amputated limbs, Viagra for impotency, botox for your wrinkles, maybe a heart transplant for your damaged heart too.

But, no matter how well you treat a pathology, it always leaves a mark, on him and the people around him
