Can anyone help me to identify this rash on my 3 year old? It is located only on the lower legs, arms and face (and some on back of neck). It has been with him for about 1 week now. Thanks.

Welcome Jeremy to dermatalk. So does it itch? does it blanch when pressed? Fever? Abdominal pain? Is it on both cheeks? Has he been to farm or something?

Hello! He has itched a little, but it does not seem like it is itching him all the time.

I tried the blanch test this morning, from what I can tell, it DOES NOT blanch away completly, maybe it fades a little, but the redness does not disappear completly.

No fever. No abdominal pain

Yes, both cheeks.

Yes, we have been to a "breakfast on the farm" event recently (before the rash appeared).

Hi Jeremy! Welcome to DermaTalk . Your condition seems like urticarial vasculitis to me a severe form of allergic reaction. Consulting a dermatologist and starting of immediate antihistamines with topical and systemic steroids may be helpful.

Thank you for the quick response. If you see the comment above, Dr deepak asked about being on a farm. Could that have anything to do with it? What would have caused it?
