Last month I had been to a dermatologist to complain about my thinning hair. He had a look at my scalp and he prescribed me Minoxidil topical solution. He assured me it would restore up to 85%. But some people say, there are lots of side effects of using minoxidil. Does anybody know what exactly happens by applying this solution.

Minoxidil topical solution is used to stimulate hair growth in men due to hereditary hair loss.It is also useful for Women with hair thickening and frontal hair loss. This solution must be used according to the direction given by physician and as stated on solution. This have some side-effects like chest pain, sudden weight gain, fast or irregular heartbeat, palpitations, swelling of the feet or legs and many more.
minoxidil is an antihypertensive drug when taken orally but it has side effects like hair growth and reversal of male baldness so it has been used as topical solution for hairloss.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Minoxidil:
Changes in body hair; excessive hair growth; mild weight gain; nausea; vomiting.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Minoxidil:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); changes in hearing or vision; difficulty breathing; excessive, sudden weight gain; fainting; lightheadedness; increased chest, arm, or shoulder pain; increased heart rate; pounding heartbeat; swelling.

My hair has been thinning in the front for the last year;denied it for as long as I could but now I'm beginning to see to much scalp, so I am trying Hair Growth Serum before I try conventional methods (it's an oil - all natural) from HOLISTIC SERUMS. Am also trying their skin care range, it's a bit early to say yea or nay but if it starts to work, guys, you will be the first to know
