Eye Creams

Is it okay to use eye creams as a facial moisturizer? The consistency seems the same to me. But if that's allowable then can we also use lip balms as a moisturizer or lotion?

Just some random thought because I ran out of my night cream and have been using my eye ream as a moisturizer for two days now...

I think it's ok to use eye cream as face moisturizer, but it may be pricey as eye creams tend to come in smaller packages while cost about the same, if not more as face moisturizer. I wouldn't do it vice verse though, as face creams may not be gentle enough for skin around your eyes.

Eye creams are specifically formulated to soothe the delicate and fragile skin around your eyes. There is no harm whatsoever in using it as a face moisturizer except that it would get a little expensive for you.

However, its not really advisable to use lip balms as face moisturizers as they tend to make the skin oily and more greasy.
