My 5 year-old son has around 1.5 cm hemangioma on his face and he is having pulsed dye laser treatment next week. Doctor says it won't be a problem but i'm worried if there are any complications like scarring and pigmentation. What are the chances of scarring and pigmentation?

Welcome back to the forum cathy. Pulsed Dye Laser is a very good option for hemangioma. There is always risk of scarring and pigmentation but when done with the experienced hands, risk and complications are minimal. Your doctor treating the hemangioma knows the best but always remember to avoid sun before and after treatment which can result in scarring and pigmentation. So, go for it chances are very low than the other methods of hemangioma removal.
