Hello. I am writing about a problem I inherited nearly 3 months. I got a rug burn when I foolishly wrestled my friend and crashed into the rug. It was bad enough to where it tore through all the skin and was red and raw. However, I applied neosporin and cleaned it up for awhile, but now the skin is discolored (white on the outside) and is this light pink/red color. I was told to wait but it still looks very similar to when it first dried up. I have been using Mederma but I don't know if that is the optimal solution. I hate having this because it seems when I talk to everyone their attention is drawn to the scar and it makes me feel self-conscious. Please, I have been searching everywhere for correct advice/solution and I have patiently been waiting for 3 months...!!
p.s: The redness in the center gets more red depending on what I am doing, so although it may not seem too bad right now, it is a lot more noticeable!
