Itchy single bump - started with one - has spawned more in other areas:help (pics)

Have these five bumps and I suspect they might be fungal, as I have been battling foot fungus for a while now and have been recently applying OTC foot cream to it. I may have spread it by an accidental itching of the area, however its very localized as in like a single Follicular unit area... very itchy and red when bothered...

1) Got the first bump 3 weeks ago , behind my left knee..

It is pretty red I have been applying tea tree oil and that same fungus cream to it with little help.

2) inadvertently scratched it and I believe i spread it over to a bump to the right knee - which i have been avoiding scratching so it is less red.

3) same scenario i itch a spot on my upper right thigh and it feels identical to the others, there is bruising because i tried to relieve the itch by pinch around the area, it was extremely itchy that day.

4) Unfortunately my scrotum when sitting was able to be pressed against that same area and it appears to have spread to the exact opposite/mirrored area ...

5) and finallt i think another is forming on the pubic bone region - i shaved the area to keep it clean - it appeared where an ingrown hair had formed not long before . I may have scratch it once :(

I have been applying athlete foot medicine and tea tree oil to the areas regularly for the past few days - little improvement and they still itch.

any insight?

crap i think it spread to another area - the top of my ass crack is extremely raw itchy and red about 2 1/2 inches length and there is a bump in there too :( - can anyone confirm this pretty please?

Hello brinton, welcome to dermatalk forum. It doesn't look like fungal infection. Does it have any pus in it? i can't see any pus point so, it may not be bacterial infection either. Most possible could be allergy reaction to something (bites or contact allergies). Does it have clear fluid inside it? is it scaly? where actually you have foot fungal infection? was it confirmed by doctor? What medications are you currently using for both the cases? Can u get a picture of your buttocks? Take some anti-itch medications and apply mild steroids with topical antibiotics, this might relief the itch and control the bumps.

There is no pus at all, i thought it was a bite too but its peculiar in that it hasn't gone away and has lasted longer than any bite I have experienced. Also peculiar that it spread( i think ) from that spot on my inner thigh to the exact spot to where it touches my scrotum upon sitting. Clear fluid, I guess if if would squeeze it hard enough sure, I could make clear fluid arise ( but isn't that true for all areas of the skin?) Scaly? no but there is a slight texture change in the skin from other "normal" areas ( shinier, waxy, drier, raised, red ) but could that be from the application of the tea tree oil, and the irritation? I acquired what I believe to be a foot fungal infection between the first four digits of the toes on both feet, no, never confirmed by doctor, but I had burning itching cracking skin (and an environment in my shoes was conducive for growth). I have been applying a generic clotrimozole cream to the foot area which relieved the burning/ itching and the skin is beginning to heal and make the foot skin feel more like normal skin. Hydrocortozone cream is helping with the itch, but I also want to stop the cause. I can experiment further with the clotrimozole cream on the bumps. I would describe the fungus on the toes that I had as persistent, and tenacious. My theory is that while applying the cream, at times I would scratch while applying to get dead skin removed ( i know bad habit), a bit of it would be trapped around/under the nails and remained even after washing hands, from there a minor itch was experienced, and I scratch with a contaminated nail, embedding fungal matter into the hair follicle area. Is this probable? plausible?

Hi brinton1, as a suggestions, try using dead sea salts. Dead sea salts are effective in skin problem treatment and likewise to psoriasis. And also, Dead Sea salts work in a variety of ways to alleviate symptoms and heal the skin. Hope this would be helpful.
