Red Raised skin rash

So about two weeks ago we went to the lake for the weekend and we got home my 2 year old had this rash on his upper left cheek. It started out really red and about the same size it is now. We thought we had it licked with hydrocortisone as it turned to less of the bright red and looked to be going away. But not it looks like it is spreading and it bright red again.


We have also tried diaper rash cream with no luck. Any help identifying the rash and tips on taking care of it would be great. Thanks in advance

Hi ben welcome to the forum, the lesion looks like contact dermatitis to me. He may have come in contact with something allergic to. You may apply creams containing steroid and an antibiotics. If hydrocortisone is not working, you may go for mometasone 0.1% cream.
