Hello DermaTalk! :)
I need your help with diagnosing my skin condition, because I'm not sure what it is.
I'm 22 years old, and I have redness and scales around my nose, and sometimes on my chin.

The problem continues for about 5 years now, sometimes it gets better and sometimes worse.
The images below shows a fairly good condition compared to other days.

I googled and researched a bit and found that it might be seborrhoeic dermatitis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seborrhoeic_dermatitis), but I'm not certain.
Do you think that I need to see a dermatologist or it can be cured with over the counter ointment?
can someone help me identify what it is please? and how can I get rid of this?

Thanks!

Yes this looks like Seborrheic Dermatitis. Doesn't look that severe, you may try over the counter medications. You may try mild steroid like hydrocortisone/desonide for 1 week or so (mometasone if severe) in combination with antifungal creams twice daily containing ketoconazole, clotrimazole etc. In addition you may use face wash containing Salicyclic acid twice daily.
