Large oozing scab/scales on T Zone?

Ok, so I have a rather unpleasant question, I guess.
As I mentioned in my newbie post, I have super. SUPER. SUPER sensitive skin, which also has the tendency (especially now that it's winter..) to not only peel, but get larger zits IN the flaking skin.
Now, whenever it does this, it gets large patches of scaly, oozing, scabby skin (I don't think it's Psoriasis..), mostly on my T-zone... The place I have it the most is always on the sides of my nose, though...
I have literally no idea what it could be, and I can't get in with my dermatologist until the end of february :(

Any ideas/thoughts/advice on what it is, and what the heck am I supposed to do about it??

Hi fren! Sorry to know about your condition. Wanna ask you few questions. Are the lesions itchy? From the picture and your short history it seems like seborrheic dermatitis to me. this is thought to be caused by yeast infection which is sebum loving so mostly concentrated in seborrheic areas i.e your T-zone.

For treatment you can wash your face daily once or twice a day with non soap cleanser than apply ketoconazole cream or ciclopirox cream once daily for 2-4 weeks. For inflammed areas you can use mild hydrocortisone cream once or twice a day for one to two weeks. So I would personally suggest you to visit dermatologist, perform simple tests to confirm the diagnosis and carry out the treatment.

Thank you! I didn't think to mention as I didn't think it was relevant at the time, but I am prone to yeast/other fungal infections.. To answer your question, yes. The lesions are itchy..

Are there any non soap cleaners you could reccomend for super sensitive skin?

Yes your condition. Looks like seborrheic dermatitis with secondary bacterial infection. You may use topical antibiotics in addition to antifungal that saiyan mentioned... use mild soap free cleansers.. Well I'm not sure about the brands that are available in ur country, but search for brands like cetaphil etc.. U may check drugstore.com for more soap free cleansers..

Hi, did you receive any relief from this? I have the same issue for many years, actually 'decades' now. I get it mostly in forehead and around center of my nose. I would love to hear if you made a dent in it.
