Indian Male. 17 years old. Currently residing in UK.
Dark areas of skin have been growing around my mouth and nose for the past two months. My GP told me to use dry skin cream - Diprobase. It has had no effect and the affected regions have spread even more. The dark skin started to appear on left side of mouth. Now it has spread to both sides of nose, both sides of lips and similar areas are appearing around both eyes. Another recent GP visit yielded no results as the GP couldn't diagnose my condition. Similar instances have occurred before but the area affected is usually just around the lips, relatively much smaller and goes away within a week or two. It is not as a result of excessive sun exposure as some online forums are suggesting; sunlight is a rare occurrence is Britain :p and I have not been on holiday for the past year. A range of theories from online forums suggest applying milk, lemon peel, lemon juice, lemon honey, hydroquinone, Aloe Vera and various other general skin care products to the affected areas. I am not sure what is causing my skin problem and don't want to risk further aggravating it so I have not tried any of these. Any suggestions or confirmed solutions will be greatly appreciated.:)
