I bought a big bag of sponges so I discard the ones I use every week. I know that brushes are a better choice in applying make-up because it won't pull your skin, but I hate cleaning brushes! I have a kabuki brush that's so big it's hard to clean. In addition to that, it takes forever to dry! But I do clean my brushes at least twice a month. I don't use them so much anyway since I vastly prefer my disposable sponges.

I was just wondering how often you clean your brushes/sponges? DO you use a special cleanser for it? I've seen brush cleaners at some of my favorite cosmetic stores, but I don't want to spend on those. Instead, I just wash my sponge with soap, and my brush with shampoo. Is that okay?

i'm pretty sure that's okay because that's what i do with my set of brushes! but i use a facial cleanser with a sensitive formula though, and one that has salicylic acid in it so that i won't get any break outs :D
