Any home remedies to keep my hair soft and shining

I have shoulder length hair and have recently coloured it. Split ends bother me a lot these days. My hair feels rough even though I oil it before every wash. Please could you suggest home remedies to keep my hair soft and shining.

You should make sure that you use a good brand of hair colour while colouring your hair. You can opt for brands like Loreal, Schwarzkopf or Wella. You should also make sure that you do not leave the colour on your hair for more than 30 minutes. If left for more than the required time, hair tends to get rough and damaged. Coloured hair should be treated with deep conditioner after every wash. Never brush your hair when it is wet as this can cause split ends, and make sure to always use a wide toothed comb.

you could try hair masks that you can buy from the store, or make yourself. if your split ends bother you so much, you could get a trim from your local salon :)

Some kitchen ingredients good for the hair include mayonnaise, olive oil, and beer. I'm sure you have one of those in your kitchen. :) I've tried these during times of desperation, and Only use natural ingredients if you don't want chemicals in your hair. But I personally think that there are good chemicals packaged nicely and sometimes very affordable too so why not just buy those instead? Home remedies are the best though so there's no need to see a salon specialist about this, unless you have money to spare. :)

Meera, to get rid of split-ends, regular trimming is necessary. Ask your parlor lady to cut the split-ends after rolling the hair from top to bottom. But a regular deep conditioning is equally essential for healthy growth.

How you give oil treatment to your hair. Hot oil massage is very helpful in your case. After doing the hot oil massage, wrap a hot towel on the head for 15 minutes. Do not comb the hair immediately after this. Repeat it once a week.

Opt for a good brand as Ashma suggested for coloring hair.
