When selecting face powder I look for finer grain which just slide on my skin and it its softness. It should be blend easily. The powder should not leave visible layer.

By and large, the cheaper varieties give an uneven effect and tend to be streaky. I test it on the inside of the wrist and on the back of my hand. I buy the powder either loose or in a cake form with a sponge. Of course, this is my personal choice. What you are more comfortable with.

i tend to choose powders with the smallest grain size possible, meaning i shouldn't see any one individual grain of color, and also, the powder, when swept up by the brush, should get on the brush really easily, but when applied, stay there.

always try the testing samples at the counter!
