Hello everybody,

A couple months back I started using a skincare cleanser that completely irritated my skin and now my forehead is broken out very badly. I have been trying everything to try and clear it. Usually my forehead clears up very easily in a week or so with the right product, but this seems to be very stubborn acne.

My forehead acne looks exactly like Kendall Jenner's forehead acne in this picture:
http://img9.bruce-juice.com/celebrity_archive/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/bruce-juice-com-kendalljenner-111.jpg

So it is not necessarily red and irritated as it is just little bumps all over my forehead.

I am currently using the Clinique 3-Step System for Oily Skin, because acne cleansers seem to irritate my skin occasionally and I don't want my skin to become worse.

Do you have any suggestions? Any at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

I'm not sure about Clinique 3-Step System, but as brand suggest they are well respected brands in market. You can also use facial scrub which will help remove excess sebum and dead skin cells.

You said acne treatment cream irritates your skin, which formula have you used. Well, best treatment option for such comedonal acne on forehead would be the use of retinoids like Adapalene and tretinoin but i guess this requires prescription.

Here are some other options:
Best over the counter acne treatment (http://www.dermatalk.com/blogs/skincare/best-over-the-counter-acne-treatment/)

As you are a girl, so its important to avoid oil based makeups. Always use water based makeups labeled as non-comedogenic.

And always remember, it takes time. there are no any products that can eliminate acne with in a day or so as advertised. Also constipation plays role in some people, so avoid it by using stool softeners and also don't stay late night.

When I was receiving a facial several years ago, the esthetician suggested I try the Made from Earth line of products. (And she wasn't trying to sell it to me because they didn't stock this).

I tended to have issues with Adult Acne - annoying large cysts along my jawline and they seemed to last forever. Within a short time of using Made from Earth's Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub, they stopped appearing and I just won't go back to using anything else. I have been using the Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub and the Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer for at least 3 years now and my skin looks and feels so much better! And the nice side effect is that I don't tend to use as much concealer or base makeup because I don't need to cover much up. For anyone with Adult Acne issues, I recommend trying Made from Earth products. Hope you are as happy with the results!

Magnetic therapy can relieve acne, I've tried before.

You can try Benzoyl Peroxide.
I think it's one of the best gels against acnee.

if you aren't "normal for you" going to the bathroom it can cause acne. stool softeners usually alleviate the problem so you can go without straining. he is a doctor. he has probably read a study on constipation.

Thank you Brenda. I have never heard a connection with constipation and acne. That is something I need now to read up on.

In my personal experience acne on the forehead is related to digestion. For me it relates directly to eating sugar. If I eat sugar I get a very red and bumpy forehead, if I don't, my skin is clear. Also avoid orange juice, pork and wheat. Try it, it works! Apparently sugar feeds the bacteria that causes acne and generally irritates the acid balance of the body/skin.

Steps for removing forhead acne:
* cleansing; it is important to keep you forehead skin clean by washing your face at least twice a day. It is recommended to add a moisturizer to protect you skin.
* exfoliation; keep your pores clean by using a gentle scrub or a scrubbing sponge lotions; acne lotions containing Benzoyl Peroxide are effective in killing the bacteria that causes forehead acne.
* oral and topical antibiotics; these are used if a person suffers from a severe form of forehead acne and when standard medications are ineffective. However, antibiotics may also have some unwanted side effects like allergic reactions.
* steroid medicines
* vitamins; vitamin A has proven to be quite effective in treating acne on forehead.

Take orange peel and apply the extract into acne spots.
Mix cinnamon powder and honey to form a paste. Gently and generously apply this paste into the skin before going to bed; then leave it overnight. Wash it first thing in the morning.
Boil half a glass of milk and add some fresh lime juice. Cool the solution and apply to the skin. This is best for treating not just acne but also cracked skin and blackheads.
Apply the paste of ripe tomatoes into the acne spots and keep it there for about an hour before washing out.
Soak lettuce in water. Wash the face with this water.
Fresh mint juice applied to the face before going to bed could cure acne in an instant.

Hi, I had ance on my forehead for years. my biggest problem was letting my hair bangs touch my forehead with gel or mousse products in my hair. When I stopped using gel products on my bangs that made a huge difference.

just a little advice from me, you'd better start getting used to cleanse your face using products made from natural ingredients.

already widely available such products on the market, or you can also use natural ingredients that directly!

I struggled and beat/keep on top bad acne. Ance is an internal thing (hormonal) that is often made worse externally with all the chemicals.

What you eat plays havock on your hormones (especially the western diet) Eating a low GI diet is the easy way to keep on top of things and also try removing/cutting down your dairy intake.

Make sure your moisturiser is non-condomogenic (will not block pores) and make up if you wear it. Go for 100% natural products when possible. I use "hyrdrance optimale light hydrating cream"(yes its not 100% natural but I cant find a non-condomogenic 100% natural moisturiser). Exfoliate once a week, I designed my own exfoliator. I also like there toner as its 100% natural. Unfortunately they don't seem to have a cleanser or moisturiser :(.

My wife had a bad reaction to a skin care product. Since her derm doc said to try more natural products we decided to make our own at home, that way we know what quality ingredients are in them. The doc did also say to drink plenty of water everyday to keep her skin hydraded and this her natural oils to prevent pimples.

Aknicare works amazingly well for me! I use the lotion and the cream and it keeps my skin really clear! I saw it on Embarrassing Bodies and it was in the top 2 products! I've copied a bit from their website to show how it works :)

Aknicare® has been proven to be the only acne treatment that changes the environment in the skin and targets the four key criteria that the ideal acne care regime needs to:
•Effectively Reduce Oil Production (the only topical treatment proven to do so) - prevents oily skin and stops blockages developing
•Effectively Reduce Skin Thickening - by normalising skin cell production rather than stripping the skin to keep the hair follicle ducts open
•Effectively Control and Reduce Acne Bacteria - without causing antibiotic resistant strains and protecting good skin and gut bacteria
•Effectively Reduce Inflammation FAST - to reduce scarring risk and un-slightly inflamed spots

Acne, yeah I've had my fare share. Sometimes it's hormonal sometimes it's not. I have found a few things to help me over the years. I used to use tea tree oil but then that dried my skin out. Then I found Forces In Nature. They make a few different products that have saved my skin. The soap they make is really moisturizing and makes my skin feel really clean, it's called Slick Soap. Then I use one of their moisturizers, either the Puree of Aloe Vera and the Cream of Aloe Vera. What a difference. My skin totally transforms overnight. I highly recommend you give them a try. you can find them at some Whole Foods or on-line: www.forcesinnature.com
