usualy i wear really dramatic back eyeliner, but apparently that looks to overdone with red lipstick, because your supposed to play up the eyes or the lips right? never both?
so, what can i do for my eyes?

i usually go for the all around look. i don't wear lipstick because i hate the taste but when i did wear it i made up my eyes not quite so outrageous. just use your own judgement. you know what you like. the dramatic black eyeliner would depend on where you were going or what you were doing. use regular eyeliner and colors that accentuate your eyes. don't overdo on either eyes or lipstick.

You can use a light creamy peach or a tone that is light on your face for the eyes. Use this shadow on the eyelid. Use a light highlighter on the brow bone. Ensure to keep the eyes distinct yet simple. The red lip color should already brighten up your face, so I suggest keeping the color face colors toned down for an elegant effect. This will certainly not make your face look overdone.

A light natural eye with neutral colors looks great with red lipstick. The problem for me though is my lipstick never lasts and then my eyes are too neutral for me.

Use a base and apply it all over the face which matches your skin tone. Ensure to merge it properly. Use this base on your pout too. Allow the color to settle down properly. Now use a nice lip pencil to outline your lips. This should be just a shade darker than your lip color. Start filling in the matt lipstick from the corner of your lips to the center. Do not use excessive color on the first application. Simply keep layering the lip color while pressing it down after each layer with soft tissue. Allow your lipcolor to settle and then continue with any other finishing touches before going out.

Also, ensure to carry your lipcolor so that you can always enhance the hue if it wears out due to sweat or water.
