It's weird to see women with facial hairs especially when they look like they have a mustache. I have a friend who has this problem and I told her she should wax them and not shave them or else she'd end up looking like a transexual.

Can you recommend a product that would stop the hair growth or at least make the hair thinner?

Do you have an idea how much that might cost? And, does it hurt? She's scared of needles, much more with laser and other painful sounding medical procedure. She's pretty but because of her facial hair, she's still single at the age of 28!

in US the average prices are as follows:

Area Average Cost for 1 treatment
Bikini $350 to $500
Back Hair $600 to $900
Lower Legs $600 to $850
Upper Legs $600 to $850
Arms $350 to $500
Chest $350 to $600
Under Arms $250 to $350
Face & Neck $600 to $900

In asia average costs is almost half of US.

And yea there is no need to worry it doesn't hurt..

if she's scared of needles and all that medical stuff, why doesn't she try waxing? its so much easier, and so much less expensive!

I keep getting one or two stubborn hairs growing too. I just tweeze them. Hopefully I'm not causing myself the same problems as with shaving. Does anyone know for sure?

Waxing is not the ideal solution to remove hair from upper lips. Tell your friend to try threading by a good beautician first.

You need the hair to be longer for waxing, whereas threading is possible the moment the hair appears. With continued threading the growth will decrease in due course.

Plucking single hair as that tends to make the hair thicker should be avoided. A depilatory cream can be used but after the patch test. Alternatively, your friend can bleach the hair and see if she feel comfortable with the effect.

Yikes! Those are very big numbers Admin! It's true, treatment in Asia is so much cheaper. But I'm sure you'll still get excellent results if you have laser treatment anywhere in the world. I've considered it as well, but my hairy arms aren't such a big concern for me right now. You also have to remember lilabites that one sessions won't get rid of the hair. You need to go back at least 5 times for this to really work. I think weekly waxing at home is a good alternative, albeit a painful and tedious one.

laser is not painful.. ? really ? i thought it was very painful and it may or may not work always. Some ppl grow hair back even after laser. If your friend is scared of the pain a depilatory cream is an easy way out.

I agree find a country that will do it cheap and go for a holiday. There's nothing worse than a lady with facial hair. Its very difficult to bring it up with them also

Yes as you said its very cheap in INDIA! you must go for permanent hair removal methods like electrolysis and LASER treatment! Proper care should be taken while doing this because it will affect your skin badly!
