Been long time here at this site, finally dare to post here. My father also has it so it might be genetic thing.

I have a small patch of Psoriasis on my knee. I have heard that the only way to reduce psoriasis is by exposure to sun. But are there any good alternative way, something I could buy and apply or perform at home beside tanning beds as i see many sites suggesting that tanning beds cause cancer.

For small patches a steriod cream usually helps. Your doctor can prescribe this.

Light therapy does help some people but then it creates other problems. A lot of derms are not prescribing this course of action any longer because of the risk of skin cancer. Skin cancer is far worse than psoriasis.
