My 9 yrs old daughter have hemangioma below her lower lips. I went to doctor and he said leave it alone it will go away by itself. But i'm worried. Are there any medicine. i heard surgery would cure it. What are the treatment options for it.

yup almost all lesion will go spontaneously. Remember aggressive forms of therapy might leave a significant cosmetic defect.
Systemic corticosteroids 2-3mg/kg/day may be used following tapering dose. Other options might be intralesional injection of corticosteroids ( triamcinilone 3-5mg/kg) can be effective in small lesion. Flash lamp-pumped pulsed-dye laser is also effective is the lesion is just superficial because it has limited penetration to the depth of <1mm . Small superficial hemangiomas can be treated with cryotherapy but scarring is most concern complication.
