I guess you should try skin tone color foundation. And there's a lot in the market right now. Its all up to you to choose what's best for your skin type by simply trying their tester. Well to give you an idea since I got pale kin also, why dont you try colors that I normally buy like Amber Rose and Orange blush. These might works on you.

Hi Sanrita,
I would advise you to go to one of the cosmetic counters and have one of the cosmeticians help you. They have an entire range of colours they could try on you so that you get that perfect match for you. It is really difficult for us to know what shades to recommend because it depends on the product you are using and your skin tone.

Are you kidding? It depends on your eyebrows, eyecolour and hair colour. Not to mention the underlying skintones.

FYI brown eyeshadow looks good on everyone.

What is your hair colour and eye colour? Is your skin more pinkish (e.g. Irish) or yellowish (e.g. Asian or Scandinavian)?

In my point of view skin color is the best for foundation.

do you really need a foundation? sometimes just a little powder and blush and some eye make up works. i hated foundation cause it made my face feel heavy. if you are looking for the right colors do like y34963 said. go to a cosmetic counter and try things or ask. don't buy yet just check out the colors.

Most make up artist recommend a skin tone foundation, whether liquid or powder. Aside from that cool tones do well with colors like pastels and neutrals for the eyes, more pink hues whether lite or dark as opposed to orange based for the cheeks, black for the eyeliners, lipsticks are bit more tricky, but go with what you like.

Pick a foundation shade that is the SAME AS YOUR SKIN COLOUR. I'm sorry but if you want a bit of colour use blusher on your cheeks or just plain fake tan and then find a shade that is the same of that, but NEVER make your face and the rest of your body (especially your neck) a different colour.

Foundation should match with the skin tone so yellow color foundation will be the best.

foundations are used to blend in discoloration of the skin. if your skin is good and you have no bad marks or discolorations you really don't need a foundation. if you want one anyway pick a light one. use powder and blush to give you color. i hate to see a line of demarkation on a persons face and neck. it looks like they have on a mask. blend the foundation on your skin so you can't really tell it is there.
