What Are the Best Wrinkle Cream Ingredients?

Even skin care experts have differentiating opinions on what the best wrinkle cream should contain.  Keeping this in mind, how should the average consumer look at wrinkle creams?

If we look at what the scientists have to say about the subject, there are a few ingredients they seem to agree on.  Right now we are seeing many wrinkle cream formulas using antioxidant rich ingredients.  Thus far, the results have been positive.

That research supports an idea that natural fruit extract, such as the acai berry, is a positively influencing ingredeint in any anti wrinkle formula.  People look youthful, because they are well-nourished and their skin is healthy. People look older, because their skin’s health starts to lack these natural ingredients.

Our facial skin is the outermost organ of the human body. It is damaged by elements such as cold, wind, and of course, the sun.  The skin takes a beating over the course of our long lives.

The molecular damage that causes aging throughout the body becomes visible, on the outside, often when a person is still very young.   However, if we start to use the best wrinkle cream for the face, we can undo those visible signs of aging, in just a few months.

After six weeks of using a topical ointment containing coenzyme Q10, volunteers’ faces were less wrinkled, less rough and better hydrated. Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant, which means that it neutralizes free radical molecules, one of the biggest causes of cellular aging.

After only three days of using a compound called Functional Keratin, researchers measured as much as 160% increase in the proliferation of new skin cells. Decreased production of skin cells normally accompanies the aging process. So, the oldest volunteers, with the most damage, saw the best results.

Judging by these research studies, the best wrinkle cream for the face should contain Functional Keratin and Coenzyme Q10. What about other ingredients?

Keratin is a protein and coenzyme Q10 is something like a vitamin. They must be mixed with other lotion ingredients in other to be applied to the skin. They must also be properly formulated in order to penetrate the skin’s layers, but that’s another story.

After the research came out, lots of companies began adding coenzyme Q10 and Functional Keratin to their formulas, but what they should have done is change their formula. Practically all cosmetic manufacturers use petrolatum or mineral oil as base creams for active ingredients.

The best anti wrinkle cream for the face does not contain either of those compounds, because they work against you. Learn more about the latest research, before you buy.

Best Wrinkle Cream: What Should it Contain?

There are hundreds, if not thousands of anti wrinkle creams on the market claiming to be the best.  With all of the hype out there, how do you know what is the best anti wrinkle cream?  There are so many claims, guarantees, and expensive advertising campaigns behind each and every wrinkle cream, and of course they all claim to be the best.  So, how do you know which one really is the best?

I tell people to start with the ingredient list.  Of course, it’s also important to find out what concentration of ingredients are in each wrinkle cream, but knowing what is inside the jar will help you decipher if it’s the best cream for you on the outside, if that makes any sense.  For example, I tend to tell people to lean towards a wrinkle cream that contains Matrixyl 3000, one of the best anti wrinkle ingredients in the history of the business.  It’s much better in head-to-head tests than it’s prior ingredient form, Matrixyl.  You can find well-documented clinical studies online if you look good and hard.  For my money, there is no better ingredient to erase wrinkles better than Matrixyl 3000.

Of course, the concentration has to be right, and it should contain other ingredients that have a history of wiping away wrinkles.  Hyaluronic acid is found in most anti aging creams and is a solid base ingredient.  If you are looking for antioxidant value, look no further than fruit extracts, such as pomegranate extract.  Acai berry extract is another one making it’s way into formulas, and unless you have been sleeping the last five years you certainly have read about it or heard one of the famous day time talk show hosts mention it.  (I get emails for it’s weight loss pill daily, which means only one thing – it sells.)

Lastly, it should contain some sort of satisfaction guarantee.  A guarantee that you as a customer will be satisfied at least shows they care about you.  If you ever have a problem with the product, it’s important you are able to get in touch with customer support or some sort of company representative.  A guarantee is only good if there is visible contact information that you can verify is attended to.

I think it should also contain a few of my favorite tell tale signs that the company cares about customer service.

1.  An 800 number. This is the ultimate sign of a “fly by night” corporation if a company does NOT have this.  Avoid buying anti wrinkle creams from any0ne who says they don’t take phone calls.

2.  Live chat.  Knowing you can chat with someone online about the product is nice.  Some people are shy on the phone, like me, and we prefer live chat.

3.  Address.  A company address lets you know where they are located.  I always check up on them on Google Maps.

If you follow these guidelines, you will certainly find the best anti wrinkle cream.  IF you follow blogs on the subject, I suggest you read the most wrinkle cream reviews possible in order to get a good grip on what consumers feel about the product.

Choosing The Best Wrinkle Cream

Choosing the proper anti aging skin care product for your skin’s condition is never an easy process.  There are thousands of products out there that are made by a number of companies that work well to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, aging, and fine expression lines that start to encompass our faces as we grow older.  So, in this ever-changing market of anti aging products, how exactly do we go about finding the best wrinkle cream?

There are a number of tips I can suggest you incorporate to your research of wrinkle creams.  The best information I can give you is that the information you are looking for IS out there, you just need to know how to find it.  The Internet is your best ally in this whole process, so use it to your advantage.  The first thing you need to know, however, is what to look for.  I’ll delve into this on a step by step basis.

I usually start the process by visiting the most reliable search engine, Google.  I type in a keyword phrase such as “wrinkle cream reviews.”  This normally pulls up a plethora of informative websites that review the best wrinkle creams on the market.  Now, there are usually a group of paid advertisements on the top of the search results, as well as on the right side.  So you can understand this process better, those advertisements are paid for by advertisers.  So, keeping that in mind, those ads tend to be a little bit more slighted and “salesy” than the results you may find in the heart of the search engine listings.

With that in mind, click on a number of listings.  Read in-depth product reviews.  Then, after you read a full listing and find a few wrinkle creams that caught your eye, click “back” on your browser and read some more reviews.  The more reviews you find that have consistent information, the better.  You should be reading about expected results, ingredient concentrations, and of course, consumer reviews.  I always tend to side with the consumers more than the actual narrator of the websites I follow.  Consumers have first-hand experience with these anti aging products and can provide a personal, first-hand experience that I feel I can trust.  Sometimes the operators of these websites are paid a commission to sell products on the web, so they can obviously slight their reviews one way or another.

You should see a wealth of information about ingredients in these reviews.  Ignore sites that say “this really works – guaranteed!”  These are just sales-based websites that are pumping a product in order to increase their sales.  You need to get to the meat and potatoes of the information.  Your goals should be as follows:

1.  Find out what consumers are saying about the wrinkle cream.

2.  What ingredients does it contain?  Does it contain Matrixyl 3000?  (A SOLID anti wrinkle cream ingredient.)

3.  Do many websites/consumers feel the same way?  Or, am I just seeing this information on one particular website.

With that in mind, you are now armed with the proper information you need to find the best wrinkle cream.  Good luck in your search and may you kick wrinkles in the keister!
