If our elbows and knees could be as prominently displayed as our face, we’d probably give them a great deal more attention. As things stand, these areas are among the most abused and neglected parts of the body. With all the blending and rubbing that elbows and knees are subjected to, it’s no surprise they can look a bit battered. But it’s not hard to rescue them. Moisturize the areas at least once a day. Creams with such alpha hydroxyl acids as lactic or urea help to soften skin.

To deal with discoloration, try a bleaching agent that has 2% hydroquinone. Dab a pea-sized amount on elbows and a coin-sized dollop on knees.

And be sure to apply sunscreen to these parts before you head outdoors. Sun exposure will cause the areas to become dark again.

Just care your elbow too as you care for your face.

I really needed to know that because my work involves a lot of sitting and my elbows are constantly in touch with my arm-rests.

I also use lemon to rub on my elbows and knees as lemon also acts as a natural bleaching agent.

I have dry elbows. I was giving it a special attention before but I almost forgot it already. I really have to do that again. Thanks for the tips and reminder, Aliva.
