Help - Rash

Last Friday I noticed a small bump 1/4" between my shoulder and neck, it grew rapidly over night to about 3" long and 2" wide. It did not hurt when touched. The edges were a little sensitive, the top was smooth. I started to notice a rash on my side, from the top of my armpit halfway down my rib cage and 5 other small bumps starting to form on my back.

The doc stated this was cellulitis.

After a week of being on antibiotics. "sulfate and bactrim", the bumps are still there.

not I have one on the top of both of my butt cheeks, one on each side. Another on my right shoulder and one in the middle of my back.

That is how the bumps start and then they spread out.

Any idea what this is?

Well, I would hesitate for any of us to give you the kind of medical advice you are looking for. Please go back to your doctor for a follow-up. Let us know how your are doing.

it doesn't look like cellulitis. i would go back to the doctor like y said before whatever this is spreads. you might have to see a dermatologist and they will take a scraping and analize it to see what it is. we have some derms on this board but it would be best to actually go see one. it can be expensive but so is your health.

Thanks everyone! Looks like I was alergic to the meds they put me on a week prior to breaking out with the rash.

i am glad you found this out. make sure you keep i record of the drug name so your pharmacy and the doctors you go to will not prescribe it for you in the future.
