The biggest challenge facing dark skin on long hot days: shine. The tips which I’m going to place below to tackle the problems are of my own experience because I am a black woman. If you have anything to add, please add so that it will be a great help.
-Use moisturizer: many dark women avoid it because their skin tends to be oily. But you need a layer of protection from dirt and pollution. Moisturizer also helps foundation glide on more easily.
-Use foundation: hot weather makes you want to ditch makeup, but foundation evens out vacations in color [common in dark skin] and adds a healthy glow. For extra sheerness blend a drop or two of foundation with a dab of moisturizer.
-Blot often: pat skin with a tissue before applying any cosmetic.
-Block the sun: the pigment melanin, abundant in dark skin, is a natural sunscreen, but it won’t fend off every wrinkle-causing ray. Use sun protection daily; SPF 8 to 15 is sufficient.
