Lichen Planus is a self limited disease and there is no known cure for it,it can just be treated symptomatically for those with pain, burning, redness, blisters, sores, and ulcers with medications, both topical and oral.
All you can do is, avoid spicy food, citrus fruits and juices, tomatoes, caffiene, crisp foods. Avoid scratching it and apply soothing and medicated creams as may be prescribed.
Careful daily oral hygiene is very important in this case. Make sure you maintain daily oral hygiene .it will go by itself within 8-12 months. If its severe talk to your dermatologist. he might prescribe oral corticosteriods or Isotretinoin (Accutane)...

You may be able to use certain types of medications to reduce the severity of the symptoms, although there is no medicine which can make it go away completely.
